You have a great gallery! I look forward to seeing more of your nature shots. You have a true gift.

I apologize again for taking so long to get back with you. I was going through my old notes and realized I never answered you. I may have been interrupted while I was reading it. I hope you understand. =)

great story

the smaller they are and fatter their tails the more toxic
[link]

i wouldn't worry about the claws on that, but a sting could kill you fairly quickly, i saw a couple at a store the other day.

Thats crazy I never thought about their claws being powerful. I always worry about the tail. The only encounter I have had with them is one time when I was visiting friends in Florida I saw a scorpion by the pool. I was like I think you have a scorpion over here. They said oh it can't be we don't have them around here. I asked them if they were sure about that, should have bet them money. But yeah they were surprised to see one, it was a small one only like 2 inches long.

ive only been stung by a bee once, and that was because when i was little kids dared me to kill it with my hand so i could play basketball with them :)

They're claws are pretty strong, they use them to catch and crush prey, keep in mind that you can feed an adult a baby mouse.
I'm certain they can break the skin.

I don't like bee stings, last summer I got my first not bad for 22 years. At first I was like what was that then the pain began. Although it wasn't that bad. How powerful are their claws?

emperor's don't sting, they are the most easily handled of all scorpions.

They CAN sting, and it hurts a bit more than a bee sting (so i've heard) mine are still to young though, since they are only 2 inches, their tails aren't strong enough to pierce my skin, but when they are full grown near about 7" long
they have lots of power, it's mostly their claws you gotta watch for, but they wont attack unless you do something very stupid ;p

Lol it doesn't bother me. Those butterfly fish are so cool looking I always wanted to get one. Oh and for the 50 gallon tank I have java fern growing in it. Next time I go back home I'm bringing some back for the 10 gallon. That seems to be the only plant I've had that doesn't die. Infact its doing quite well. You seem to keep qutie a variety of pets. How is it keeping scorpions? Can you take them out or do they sting?
